Changing Lives
I was born into a family that wasn't very wealthy. To help my mother with household chores and ease the financial burden, I started tutoring at an early age. That was when I first encountered the world of education, and from that moment, I deeply felt the power of education to change one's destiny. Later on, I became a primary school teacher and a kindergarten principal, witnessing countless children's growth and struggles in the classroom.

THE ORIGINAL PURPOSE OF EDUCATION:
Ensuring No Child Is Left Behind
While serving as a kindergarten principal, I encountered children with varying levels of learning abilities. It was heartbreaking to see that the existing education system seemed to overlook these differences, applying the same standards to all children regardless of their learning capabilities. Education was often designed based on age, without considering whether children truly understood or mastered the content. This one-size-fits-all approach caused many children to lose confidence in learning, especially when it came to learning three languages. Many of them began to believe they were not capable and developed a fear of learning.
Each time I saw children feeling discouraged because they couldn't keep up with the pace, or saw them yawning while looking at their textbooks, I felt helpless. I couldn't help but wonder: what if we could tailor learning plans for each child? If we could customize lessons based on their individual learning pace, wouldn't that make learning more enjoyable and relieve their anxiety?

I made a decision: I wanted to design an education system that would help children effectively absorb three languages while allowing for customized teaching according to their individual progress. Through one-on-one lessons and personalized courses, I envisioned creating an environment where children could regain their love for learning without the pressure. This was when the idea for LITTLE MASTER®️ began to take shape.

I still vividly remember the first class at Little Master, with only four students. At that time, we had nothing — no flashcards, no textbooks. Every day, we taught classes while simultaneously working on creating teaching materials, preparing lessons, and planning our curriculum. During the initial phase, almost all of the work was done by Lawrence and me alone, and this was undoubtedly a huge challenge for us. We worked tirelessly, even pouring all our savings into developing the curriculum just to provide better learning resources for the children.
Over six years, we worked in a small education center, constantly exploring and refining our materials. After countless revisions and improvements, we finally developed our own unique teaching system. Those tough days, filled with setbacks and challenges, laid the foundation for the success of Little Master today.

An Opportunity for
Transformation
In 2020, just as Little Master was about to take off and we were preparing to open a Model Centre in Bandar Puteri, the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 turned all our plans upside down. The global pandemic led to the suspension of in-person classes, and our team faced a period of confusion and anxiety. However, I firmly believed that "people may change, but the path does not." Though we couldn't continue with physical classes, we were confident that online teaching was our only way forward.
During the pandemic, we relied on our meager salaries and unwavering belief to keep us going. At our lowest point, the trust and support from a few franchise partners became our greatest source of motivation. Their support reignited our determination and gave us the courage to keep moving forward.

PERSEVERANCE AND HOPE:
Achieving the Future
From a modest education centre to now successfully expanded to nearly 100 centres, Little Master has gone through numerous hardships and challenges. We often asked, "What can you really achieve?" My answer is always the same: "We've made the impossible possible." Every step of the journey was filled with struggles, but we never gave up.
Looking back, we started with no textbooks, and now we've published over a hundred books and developed our own unique teaching system. This success is the result of countless hours of effort and perseverance. Our educational philosophy is not only reflected in the books we've created but also in the smiles and progress of every student we teach.
We firmly believe: perseverance leads to hope. The story of Little Master is still unfolding, and in the future, we will continue to provide learning opportunities for more children, helping them regain their confidence and passion for learning. We hope that Little Master is not just a brand, but a symbol of dreams and hope for children.
